YAPAHUWA
The Rock City

This rock fortress and Temple built by King Buwanekabahu (1272 - 1284) on a vast granite rock rising 100m from the ground is encircled by a 1 km path rising to the top. Yapahuwa is another master piece of Sinhala Rock carvings and Art.
